SAP’s release of its HANA in-memory database back in 2015 was a watershed moment for the company. SAP Analysis for Office is a reasonably good tool for getting a surface-level view of ERP data, but it is simply not flexible enough to provide for the sophisticated needs of analysts in finance and accounting.
