Oracle’s 2014 Statement of Direction laid out its support strategy. While it has many advantages, it’s not built to be a transactional reporting tool for day-to-day ad hoc analysis or easy drilling into data details. It is also less dynamic and agile than Discoverer and cannot easily alter reports.
