Meet Terri Hall! Terri is the Director of Business Research Intelligence at the University of Notre Dame, where she has spent the last 21 years of her career. Ever since learning to visualize data to find the stories, she has been an advocate for business storytelling through infographics, dashboards & portals.
We wanted to find out just why Terri was so passionate about advocating for Juice Analytics and why she loved the company as much as she did. Read below to find out why:
How did you hear or find our about Juice?
I first found Juice's blog several years ago while searching for sources to improve my skills in data analysis and visualization. I continue to read it today. I enjoy the creative way it is written and how it turns the "scary unknown" of data work into fun! When one of my projects split into two audiences with different needs, we needed help. Juice came to mind immediately and their expertise solved my challenge.
What do you love most about Juice or what they do?
The staff at Juice have been helpful in brainstorming different options to meet our needs. They listen carefully and ask good questions to ensure they understand the work ahead. They are creative, and patient with our questions as well. In my experience, it's been a formula for success.
Who would you recommend to Juice for their data product needs?
I'd recommend anyone with a need for a data product! My focus is higher education. I've recommended Juice to others at the University of Notre Dame, as well as colleagues who reach out with their data questions. I also sit on the advisory board of a system we use. When I showed our Juice dashboard to the President, he was so wowed he wanted it improve the system's reporting feature. I introduced him to Juice and the result improved reporting for all system users. Higher ed is drowning in data and our work with Juice has enabled us to not only keep our heads above water, but to swim in the data "lake". The products that Juice has developed for us have been a big success on campus. Their tools make our data available and easy-to understand no matter the time it is needed. They have also relieved my team of creating and sending reports. It's a win-win.
What has impressed you most about Juice or its team?
I have been most impressed by the creativity of the team at Juice and a willingness to share what they know. They are responsive to our questions and explain things without technical jargon. I have learned a lot from Juice in the past few years and look forward to our continued work.
